Art Expo

September 4-6, 2009; 5-10pm

The Village of Baytowne Wharf welcomes the fresh fall season under the moonlight with a weekend good for the art and soul with world-class art and live music in the Village Events Plaza. Exceptional artists featured in the area’s leading galleries from across the southeast will gather for this three day festival featuring the best of the best in the world of art.

Weekend entertainment includes Kyle LaMonica, Coconut String Band and Randall Sherwood.


Baytowne Strolls

September 4-6; 5-10pm

In addition to Art Expo, Village restaurants and merchants are offering Baytowne Strolls. With the purchase of a $50 ticket, you can tour the Village and taste a wine and food pairing at 5 participating restaurants and enjoy discounts at various merchants.

Serve and Swing for the Kids

September 19; 7-11pm

A Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast Celebration.

Come enjoy live entertainment by the Fish House Band, heavy hors D’Oeuvres and a cash bar at Graffiti's at The Village of Baytowne Wharf.

There will also be exciting auction items, featuring artwork by the Boys & Girls Club kids, presented by special guest and auctioneer, Ted Corcoran.

Tickets are $50 each. Childcare is available for ages 3 and up by Abrakadoodle staff. RSVP required for childcare.

Ultimate Airdog Southern Championship

September 25-27, 2009

Come see one of the premier dock jumping competitions in the country at The Village of Baytowne Wharf! Ultimate Air Dogs showcases a variety of jumps and demonstrations. Dogs travel from far and wide to show off their skills through a series of splashes. Watch as they race off the dock, soar in the air and splash into the lagoon. Long distance jumping is the main feature of the event with a vertical jump on Sunday afternoon.

Splash Schedule:
Friday- 6:30pm
Saturday- 11:00am 4:00pm
Sunday- 11:00am 12:00 noon 3:00pm

Registration is one hour before each splash. All dogs are welcome to participate. Jumping divisions range from Novice to Expert. To register visit ultimateairdogs.net.

$2,009 in prize money to be given away!

In conjunction, with the Ultimate Airdog Southern Championship, the Children’s Volunteer Health Network is hosting Cottages for Canines. These one of a kind “doggie dream houses" will be on display in the Village from Friday, September 18 thru Sunday, September 27th, 2009. On the evening of the 27th, under the stars, there will be an auction for any of the “cottages” remaining. All proceeds benefit the Children's Volunteer Health Network.


Wednesday Night Concert Series

Wednesday Nights; 7-9pm

Enjoy the continuation of the Wednesday Night Concert Series through the month of September. We’ll be tantalizing your musical taste buds with musicians to entertain all of our homeowners and local guests! Village Events Plaza.

September 2- The WaCo Ramblers
The WaCo Ramblers, known as Walton County’s finest goodtime string band, takes traditional bluegrass and makes it their own. You don’t want to miss this local favorite!

September 9- Hightide Blues
Hightide Blues creates a unique sound of southern rock with a modern twist and an original delivery that’s in a category of its’ own. This band is known for their high energy performances with a delivery of a hard-hitting rhythm section featuring the sounds of acoustic and electric guitars.

September 16- The Ben Robinson Band
Ben Robinson has been booked on such shows as The Late Show with David Letterman and Donny and Marie. He is a one of a kind guitar player who is making his mark in the rock & blues world!

September 23- Jeff Tucker & On the Beach
Jeff Tucker & On the Beach are stopping by the Village as part of their Southern Sojourn Tour. This band plays over 150 shows annually. This band mixes the elements of rock, pop, and country with references to Americana, jazz, and Latin music so they have something for everyone to enjoy!

September 30- Stephen Wood Ensemble
Wood’s strengths lie in his versatility and thorough understanding of many styles and genres – from the classical to contemporary. Wood continues to push the relationship between groove and sound-scape in his compositions. His creative voice reveals a detailed attention to harmony and rhythm, and a great passion for the expressive power of sound. You don’t want to miss this performance!
